ive seen a lot of talk about all the camps the are going
lets say i could only be bothered going on one for the purposes of meeting ppl who i might be sharing a subject with, then should i even bother going at all? Does O-week already have that socialising aspect covered?
-
I think it's worth going. After the first week or so of class, talking to new people is actually pretty difficult. You may as well get as many familiar faces while you can.
-
Depends on your drinking habits.
-
I heard there's only like 300 spots. This true? Do these spots taken up quickly? If so, i might need to book quickly......
-
Yeh, they do tend to book up really fast.
-
has anyone here gone to one of those camps?
-
lol are they like adventure camps?
-
lol im thinking the same, should i bother or not.
-
I was going 2, but circumstances arose and I never went.
I went 2 the mid-year orientation activities they had on tho... I asked to be allowed 2g2 mid-year orientation coz I wanted 2 make new friends.
They were a good way of getting 2 meet a whole bunch of ppl - even if u don't g2 a camp I recommend seizing as many opportunities 2 meet ppl as u can @ orientation.
Let me jst say tho: AUSTRALIANS DO NOT USE THE WORD 'JUMBUCK' FOR SHEEP*... I didn't even no wtf a jumbuck was until that crazy old lady's little 'Australia' lesson ??? ::)
*Except when singing Australian songs quite loudly and possibly while intoxicated on Australia Day, and possibly while wearing an Australian flag as a cape. Just saying.

If you don't drink like a fish ... don't go. :P

Eh, I knew it was food of some sort - u don't really need 2 no exactly wot it was 2 understand the story of the song.

I went on a camp a few weeks ago and it was awesome. I've already got a heap of mates and most of them should last throughout the whole of uni. As of yet, i don't know many people taking my classes, but i'm not really fussed about that right now.
-
Going to another camp next friday!

There's Camp 1, 2, 3 and 6.

Go figure.
