Title: English study score
Post by: choc_bananas on October 28, 2007, 02:30:25 pm
can anyone predict what type of study score i would get for English if i got the following marks on the exam?

Text Response 1: 7/10
Text Response 2: 8/10
Language Analysis: 7/10
Point of View: 8/10

My SAC Marks:
UNIT 3
TR 1: A+
TR 2: A+
ISSUES: A+
ORAL: A

UNIT 4
TR 1: A+
TR 2: A+
FOLIO: A+

oh and i am certain i am ranked number 1 (in English) in my school.

..im trying to figure out a 'worse case scenario'.. i REALLY want a 40 for this subject and NEED at least a 38.

Probably 38-39, since you need about a 7.75 average to get an A+, which still doesn't ensure a 40+ score (which requires top 8% as opposed to top 10%).

and to complicate things - you need 8s both of the times it gets marked

I hear that. I would have gotten a 41 or so if my examiners were consistent :/ ... or if it were consistently the lower score I would have done quite alot worse.

I think Eriny's score last year was unfortunate, she seems much better than what she got.

i thought i wrote heaps of BS specially for txt response and still got 2 9's for them LOL just wondering if this might have happened to someone else

Same with your methods score :/

Anyway, for a 38 (rembering that class ranking, etc. plays a part)
8/10 for one text response, 7.5 for the other and 7.5 for the POV and 7 for the analysis.

so what would a 8/10 and 9/10 for text responses, 9/10 for lang analysis and 8/10 for pov be as a study score?

and a low A+ and very high A for unit 3 and 4 sacs, respectively?

Me too...
:(

I'm hoping to get an ENTER score of 87 but I'm not sure how possible that will be with bad marks in English...
I'm just hoping that getting really good scores in my other subjects will compensate for my bad English score...
