Learning Excel and learning about the errors in Excel.
Just learnt about floating point error. I hate it so bad.

Is this for Computing for Engineers or something similar? ;D

Thread can be for either :P
I'm probably mainly using it for computing though... I need a thread to vent about coding.

I was at Officeworks the other day and was trying to work out for a solid sixty seconds why I couldn't swipe on one of the display phones.
It's because the phone wasn't on - the display was just a stationary sticker.
I'm good at technology.

Cool cool! Yeah I meant like was the rant above for uni, sounds like it was ;)
So I tutor, and I'll sometimes use a whiteboard I carry around, other times I'll use an iPad. The iPad is better because I can send the student the notes from the lesson and erase stuff and resize stuff and etc. I've now used the iPad enough that I'll catch myself trying to pinch to zoom on my whiteboard.
So my peeve is this: Why can't whiteboards pinch to zoom?

If I was your tutee, I'd be super impressed by your resources! What a stellar idea - using the iPad to send the notes to the student!

Jamon, if we could do this, that would save me all of my struggles when I fill a whole classroom's whiteboards with linear algebra

Inputting the wrong formula... damn that circular referencing...
-
Is this an actuarial subject? :(
Yep. In our CT1 course, we're taught Excel now

I accidentally put Red Cross on hold the other day. 8)

Woah :o

Woah :o
They called me earlier in the day, which I missed. So I tried to call them back, and all of a sudden they were on hold?!
I'm not good at things. :(

I was attending a lecture where I'm essentially doing coding for biologists on a statistics program (which by the way, is not equal to coding for computers) and the program started to lag a little, my phone began to ring, so I ran out this lecture with the lecturer looking at me like I was crazy. (The phone number was associated with an internship I applied for, so it was important.) I run out, just in time to see the phone call go from ringing to missed call. Not cool. I ring back and get the answering machine. I leave a message and return to my lecture... but my phone rings again. Being smart about it, as I open the door again to exit said lecture theatre, I finally took the call successfully.
A couple of weeks later, my laptop with the same program I was using during that lecture crashes. I'm obviously not having the best time with technology.

Playing an intense game of everwing when the game suddenly crashed on you
(A bit silly but still a rant)

Typing up a really long answer to a question while on 11% battery and your phone dies...
Then someone beats you to the answer. :-\

Oh my god, technology is annoying... but it is so slow that it makes me infruriated !! hahahha

Every time I use \(\LaTeX\) and I type ] or ) instead of }...

Facebook never used to be so laggy. What on earth happened.

I feel like Facebook was always laggy. They've just been cramming it with anything and everything so they can get as much data as they like. Adding reacts, whole bunch of new settings, fb history, messenger... It's bound to be extremely laggy. All the time, it takes at least 5 seconds to click on an image :(

There are ways to combat this especially on the phone.
I use Messenger Lite, which is a barebones version of the full blown Messenger app. Doesn't include all that junk such as Rooms etc. and is only a few MB in size. Works the exact same in terms of notifications etc. Look up Messenger Lite in the App Store. Should be there
Also a Lite version of Facebook for Android: https://www.facebook.com/lite/ (although I think this is for certain devices only)
I do agree though - especially on the PC. I view a page and always get a warning that scripts are slowing my pages down. Says alot really :)
Speaking of facebook - i've always found it interesting that you can change the settings in regards to friend requests (e.g. who can friend request you and who can't), but there is no similar option for Messaging. Like.. personally, I don't want random people messaging me.. so i'd love an option to get rid of the message button altogether from my timeline from those who aren't my "friends"

Ha, that's pretty sweet. Thanks Aaron!
I also find the same issues with you, a lot of the functions on messenger are completely seperate to the normal facebook. It's really stupid how there are hidden tools that can't be found easily like choosing who can send friend requests.

My laptop refused to behave and open Chrome- froze the whole system up for half an hour. Not loving it rn.

It's more annoying to me in the sense everyone's so drawn to it. Eating out with my friends, they're usually just on Clash or Snap instead of talking. It's bizarre..

That was never a problem for me

Because I don't know what to talk about IRL at times.

Honestly, not something I experience. It could be because due to different lifestyles, I don't get to hang out with my group of mates nearly as much as we used to, so when we do get together, we're all focusing on whatever we're doing
-
Forgetting a bracket when coding is honestly the worst thing that always happens to programmers. Smh...

This.
You can tell which people do it, as they are usually very fidgety without it. Some are also very uncomfortable with eye contact.

I feel like forgetting a ; in C is just as painful as forgetting a } in LaTeX...

When you make an infinite loop.
Hilarious, but a bloody pain
