I'm stressing out so bad, I got a D and a D+ (idk how) for programming on my report. However both my science and maths are really good (A's and B's and all A+'s) do you think this is going to ruin my chances ? I never get anything below a C usually do I have no idea what happened

If you can justify your grades and still appear passionate about science, then you guys should be fine.
Talk about extracurricular activities and hobbies to make up for it :')

I think it should be alright. Start preparing copies of your awards and stuff.
For singing and guitar, you should do a demonstration for the interviewers :PP

I think they just skim through your reports and awards (they ask you to show you which award you're most proud of). Remember, they take in a lot of things into account, such as how you perform in group interviews as well. Good luck guys! PM me if you have any questions (and no, I will not reveal what they will ask you at the interviews haha)

My school is uber-crappy so I get full marks on all of my math tests, but I don't think it's that impressive because no one in my class actually knows anything. :/
I want to go into medicine or become a teacher, currently planning of doing - Eng, Lit, Methods, Chem, Bio and possibly Psych.

yeah same, the lowest mark I've gotten all year is 98 but we had our first test today in extension, and I got 100% but that only counts as half of our mark because we still have to do another test which we are allowed a CAS on.

Guys, I got to commit one thing.......My results for maths and science were top of the notch back in 2016, however after my grandma passed away on the 19/07/2016, I felt something missing......I stopped studying, my result slipped from 90%~100% to60%to 80%, because I lost the purpose of studying........ I barely revised for the exam, to be honest, I'm just lucky to pass it.......Right now I don't even know if I wanna go to the interviews because even if I got in, I won't have anyone to share my happiness with.

Like you said, your results for maths and science were extremely high, showing that you put a lot of hard work into those subjects and enjoy learning. The loss of a family member can be extremely devastating, but you should at least go to the interviews. It's the least you can do for her. I'm sure you've had a strong connection with her, and she would want you to do well and be happy in life. I guess it really depends if you're satisfied with your current school or not. But don't make decisions based purely on emotions because you may regret it later on. Consider the consequences of your actions.

If you do get in, you can share your happiness with the awesome JMSS community. It'll be like a second-family because everyone connects so well. Don't give up on studying now. Keep learning and improving so that one day you can find a job that you love. Then, you'll be able to think of her and proudly say, "I'm finally happy. I've found a job that I love and have made great friends."

Hey Kaize.
I am very deeply sorry for your loss and completely understand how hard it is to cope with the loss of someone close. All I can really suggest is to try and keep yourself occupied with anything. Just try to keep yourself busy at all times and try to create some positive energy around you. I can completely assure you that 'this will pass'. Don't let something like this decide what you'll do with your life for the next few years, and I know how hard that is. You're probably thinking, this guy's just saying this but he doesn't know how I feel, but I have been through this before and it will pass.

Try and share the grief with family members who know how you feel, and vent out your sadness. It really helps to talk to someone about things like this and when someone is going through the same thing, it makes it easier to get over. You can also organise a meeting with your school counselors and they will definitely be able to help you out. It's always great to talk to someone about your loss, and try and organise something that will help you out.

Go to the interview, no matter how badly you don't want to. I faced a similar things last year, but I tried to push through it, and had I not, I would look back and regret it. Don't let this decide your future! It will pass. I hope you get well soon and good luck for the interview. :)

If you need mental support, search around the forums or create a new thread. You you can find ways to help you get through this on Google as well. :)

I'm sorry for your loss, I know how that can affect people. I think if you explain your grades to them, it'll be okay. And don't forget that you'll have US to share your happiness!  :)

crap mine doesn't have the actual marks (A's, B's C's) on the main page, just the dot which shows where we are at. And it's not even accurate and makes my marks look really bad rip

Showing good academic performance is not essential at this point. The entrance exam measured that already.

They look for what else you can offer the School. Such as:
- Achievement in sports
- ICAS, AMC and other Competitions
- Membership of the Scouting movement, Girl Guides, Air Cadets etc.

They also look for a general interest in science and the ability to work with others.

Try to find a way to print it in colour, but if you are unable to, then black-and-white should suffice.
Try printing out of one the pages and see if you can distinguish between the red and green indicators.

If you really can't print it in colour, then print in black and white. I'm sure that it doesn't make that much of a difference as long as they can see your indication of progress on your report.

Practice makes improvements ('perfect' is a lie XD)
People believe that your voice is good (and I also agree), so have more faith in yourself :PP

For those who had their interview, good job with it, and I hope that JMSS will bring you good news. For those who are having theirs this week, including mine, good luck with it, and may the best wishes for you. I hope to see all of you next year.  ;)

What were the questions asked.

I would suggest to not ask previous/current students 'what the questions were' since it gives an unfair advantage. I will say, that they give you a 'card' of all the questions they'll ask when you sit down for your interview.
