Title: Software Engineering vs. Computer Science?
Post by: gawdn on August 02, 2017, 08:52:14 pm
Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone could clarify the differences between a software engineering and computer science degree? From what I understand software engineering is more focused on implementation of software and the software lifecycle whilst computer science is more about algorithms and theoretical stuff. I tried asking some of the university ambassadors at careers stalls and such but I always got the same blank look (most had no clue about it). Yeah so if anyone could clarify that would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
