It would be great if all those year nines out there could complete this poll! This is just a little fun thing I decided to do to see where all of us would be next year and what we would all be doing.  ;)

I'm going to do an accounting elective (MHS) and going straight into the 3&4 Year 11, hopefully it won't put me at a disadvantage. I'll still probably try and complete the 1&2 book over the holidays and year if I can, so that the transition is easier.

How about you?

Relax, you are at an advantage. Being in year eleven really means you can smash accounting as you have the time for it. If you really hone down on the one subject in year eleven ( and I mean entirely immerse yourself in it) you can fifty the subject. A lot of year twelves don't have the time to specialise themselves on just one subject so they end up doing alrightish in all subjects. The subject you do in year eleven is going to be crucial to your atar so take it bloody seriously. This is your chance to put 100 percent into a single subject meaning you should score highly. Even if you don't do well you can always make it in year twelve though.

Psychology 1&2 for me (hopefully, fingers crossed). Most of my friends just Bio or Psych for their accelerated subjects, although one of my friends chose Systems.

Goodluck for everyone with their subjects next year! :)

Ooh that's an interesting choice! In our school they don't let us do Physics 1/2 in year 10 :(

They let you take Specialist Maths but not Physics? That's pretty strange :P.

Hi everyone!  :)

Are you all enjoying your holidays?

Sorry I haven't posted for a little while... :-\.

I am undertaking both Biology Units 1/2 with Specialist 1/2 next year. I was going to elect Psychology, but my teachers wouldn't allow me to take all three of Biology, Psychology and Specialist 1/2.

Our senior school doesn't offer Physics until Year 11 and 12, unfortunately.

Technically, Specialist 1/2 doesn't exist yet, does it?  ???

So, Ace, I am taking the exact same subjects as you!  :D

Hannibal: Great choice with the Accounting elective! So, you are going to MHS and not JMSS? I am certain that you will be able to pick up Accounting 3/4 easily in Year 11. See how you go next year.  ;)

I wish my school allowed us to take 1/2 Physics a year early, lucky. :(

Pfft, all the cool kids do Psych, you know that right? It's a proven fact. ;) (I loathe Bio with a passion)

Yeah, it is! Specialist is the hardest and my school thinks we're capable - so all the people in the advanced math class have to do it next year, unless they want to go to the mainstream class. -.-

Why not? My school doesn't let us take psych early  :-X

Neither does our school - before I knew which subjects were available in year 10, I wanted to do Bio or Psych. Then I chose Bio and after that I realised that Psych was never an option xD So yeah, that worked out!

So, Ace, I am taking the exact same subjects as you!  :D

Awesome, that's so cool!
Specialist and Bio, right? :D

Do two 3/4's if you can before year 12. That is my main regret.

I was so bored and held down by my shitty 3/4 that I didn't put any effort into it in year 11 and got a 38. Now I'm juggling 5 more subjects, of which 3 I only care about and the other two I've stuck my middle finger at. What I'm trying to say is, TRY your heart out to do 2 3/4's before year 12 because it will take the pressure off your back, and you'll also do really well with the safety net of study scores. Nothing to lose!

That was my plan...until my school made me do maths specialist 1/2 in year 10. I'm going to do bio 3/4 next year but there's no way I'm doing spec 3/4 next year. :(
And it was HIGHLY recommended I didn't do 3 1/2s in year 10, so...there goes that path.  :-\

I wish I could of chosen two VCE subject, alas my school doesn't allow us to take anymore than 1. Honestly, I'm not *that* disappointed as in year 12 I want to do 4 subjects + an extension subject which would mean I have 7 subjects all up, one not counting towards my ATAR.
