SATURDAY THE 10TH OF DECEMBER
Officially, we'll start at around about 12:00, however we may be going for ages! Don't feel like you have to stick around/have to be there on time, feel free to come later or leave early if you want/have to.
It's that time of year again - the time where we all meet-up, forget about ATARs, and have a bit of fun! The oldies around here probably know what this is all about, but for anyone just joining us this year:
Each year, we meet up at the Flagstaff gardens just before ATARs are released. It's the perfect opportunity to meet up with some of the great friends you've met this year on the forums, and just chill out and relax before the daunting point of ATAR release. People bring snacks, Brendan carries his beast of an esky, usually a footy or frisbee finds its way into the pack, and it's a day of lots of fun!! There's also no need to be scared of stranger danger - feel free to bring friends not from the forums if you're worried about things, or you're a shy person. We welcome all kinds (including any one not in year 12 who's reading this and thinks it'll be a blast!).
NOT TO MENTION, if you're unsure about uni preferences (or uni in general), usually a few of us OLD old people (i.e., doing uni), come along, and are happy to answer any questions you might have about courses. (be warned: anybody talking to Brendan will somehow end up studying philosophy)
Just put in the poll what day you'd prefer, we'll call the most popular time in a couple of weeks, and we can all meet up and have fun!

But nah, we'll put up a map closer to the day of the approximate part of the park we'll be in, then you just gotta go to the crowd/giant esky of terror. If there's not that many people, just wander around that area looking lost and we can call you over when we notice you.

Look for the cluster of teenager-->young-adult kids loitering around suspiciously; I'll try and get there early-ish and post a rough location within the gardens (e.g. something extraordinarily helpful like 'next to a tree') so we can find each other. One of us will be checking this thread on our phone intermittently, so if you're lost, you can let us know.
Alternative plan: someone can wear a ludicrously conspicuous hat and we'll all just gravitate towards them. Any takers? ;)

There'll be lots of distinguishing features!
1. Look for the most awkward and embarrassed collection of teens in the park. (The early-twenties among us look and behave like awkward teens anyway, except for our venerable Senior Citizen Mr. Melting Meithy.)
2. Brenden's tipped me off that all the male moderators will be wearing high-viz vests. Except maybe Joseph41, who'll be wearing that spiderman suit I'm buying him as an early Christmas present, because spiderman in high-viz would look even odder than Andrew Garfield already does.
3. Our resident
4. A few members may be chucking up surreptitiously behind trees after trying out some of Lauren's cookies.
5. We will have one adult among us: Swagadaktal will have brought along HighTide's mum.
6. Plus, I'll be there. 8) if it's not one of the Sundays, pleaaaaaaaaaase let it be a Saturday
7. But above all, there will be hundreds of boxes of Clix.

Might work out to start around 10 til whenever we break up around late arvo, so if people have morning or afternoon commitments it works for everyone?
