So are you saying that preference for warm food would be naturally selected for? I think it's just a personal preference :P

EDIT: Maybe due to the presence of harmful bacteria in food which may have been left in room temperature, so people who liked warm food were selected for?

I'm not sure if you are talking about the temperature of food or whether the food is cooked or not...

HMm... Does hot food stimulate your taste buds more so that it tastes better? I mean hot chips is just potato, yet it tastes so much better than just .. cold potato and salt

Mmm chips. But maybe we just like it because it tastes better? But your hypothesis sounds alright :P

Well I was putting some cold meat into the microwave and wondered why I was going to enjoy it better warm, than cold.

But isn't personal preference some sort of result of natural selections?
Yeh, if people eat cold food and start dropping dead, then people eating warm food would be a result of natural selection ;D

Interesting hypothesis. I just like warm food because it's warm and yummy :) Especially on a cold day like today...

Well cooking the food makes it more energy rich apparently, maybe thats why?

It'd probably kill the bacteria. Maybe.

Theres a reason we dont like warm water, apparently its a more suitable enviroment for bacteria and other nasty things..

mm i don't think its a matter of cold food vs warm food...
some ppl like meat cold

its probably more of a cooked vs uncooked food
where cooked food is much easier to digest and of course less bacteria

but anywho why is this important? lol or is this just an interest thing?
