Title: Laws with a 96+ atar?
Post by: Globe on December 17, 2018, 05:32:39 pm
Hey guys,

I know there's been a lot of similar posts, but realistically speaking, are there any chances of getting an offer for laws/global studies or laws/arts with an ATAR of 96.55?

I also get two bonus points, one for a 40+ in english, and one for a 40+ in psychology, however to the best of my knowledge, this still puts me short of a 98. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I'm assuming your unadjusted ATAR is 96.55? If so, you're already over the minimum unadjusted ATAR, so I'd guess you'd have a reasonable chance to get in still. As always, if BLaw at Monash is what you want to do, put that first preference. If you're super concerned or want to try another pathway first and take a short detour, you can make your second preference something else you're comfortable with and try transferring between semesters.

Guessing that you didn't qualify for SEAS or Monash Guarantee as you didn't mention those, but on the off chance you just forgot to mention those: you can try the New pathways to Monash Law or calculating in SEAS using the SEAS calculator.

Thanks for that! Yes, 96.55 is my unadjusted ATAR and I don't qualify for SEAS or the Monash Guarantee. Guess time will tell..
