yuk how hard did you have to work for a 40?
It's probably gonna be my 5th subject anyways, so would it be better to focus on others that I can score higher in like accounting, english and further? The difference between a 30 and 40 as a 5th subject is 1, so it doesn't really seem worth it.
True I got dux of legal for year 11 but I'll still have to work my ass off.
lol, at my school, we call it getting the "legal award".
i got it, but i don't feel like i'm that great at it.
-
I think if you got 50 in bus man you're more than capable of getting 40+ in legal, i've heard they're similar subs and all, so don't completely discount it. I was exactly the same as you in that i saw no point in studying as much for the subs that were going to be in my bottom 2 so i concentrated on the ones i knew were gonna be in my top four (still somehow managed 40+ in both by bottom 2 subs though so don't underestimate yourself)
At the same time though i wouldn't ignore it completely because you never know, come exam time you might screw up one of your other exams and it's good to have a back-up. Ignoring 2 of my subs made me heaps more stressed when it came to my legal/french/eng exams cos i was like oh shit i have to do good in this exam or i'm screwed!
How sure are you that it will be in your bottom 2?
-
Well I guess all I did was stay up to date with my work and do a lot of reading of the text book. I was big on doing questions at the start of the year but towards the end I kinda just started focusing on understanding the stuff and applying it to prac exams and prac exam questions.
I don't think you should neglect legal. You seem to have the potential to do very well in it. Whats your ENTER aim?

wow thanks, that's really good advice, i hadn't thought of that!
Hmm..now that you mention it, I'm not 100% sure legal will be in bottom 2. Perhaps I'm overestimating my ability in accounting, just because I did well in Yr 11. Also, maybe I'll make heaps of silly mistakes in Further. So yeah, I think it'll be good to have legal as a backup subject, and I'll probably try harder now.
Whats your ENTER aim?
I want to get into Commerce at Melbourne, so I need min 96. But a 98 would be great!
-
Cool Good luck!
-
me
my aim is 47 but this is unrealistic so oh well
-
2008 is my legal year :) btw my profile message thing says i'm aiming for 37 but i'm truly aiming for 40+
-
it's scary though..NOONE in our school got above 40 for legal :S
-
That doesn't stop you from achieving!
I think a lot of people who do well in legal are in year 11. In my class there were 3 people who got over 40. All of us were in year 11.

Yeah, it's always the Yr 11s who do better because they can focus on just one subject, and kinda neglect everything else like I did lol. I know in Bus man, the yr 11s did waayyy better than the Yr 12s.
-
I looked on the list and saw everyone who was listed has aims, except for me. I'm aiming for 40+.
-
Your display picture confuses the hell out of me. What the fuck is that banana schitzing about?
-
schitzing
Whats that mean? =S lol
-
skitzing... why's it freaking out... it's a stoned paranoid banana dude
-
Awk I realise from the 2nd way you spelt it lol.
-
yer year 11s tend to do better on those subjects that usually don't require units 1&2 to do well in because they usually tend to be easier and with that they favour the year 11s as year 12s obviously have more subjects that majorly affect them and it requires them to put in alot of effort in every subjects whereas the year 11 can mainly focus on that one subject.
ehh sounds good to me.
-
im doing legal! no idea what im aiming for yet though!!
-
okay edit it please i'm now aiming for 37 haha

Welcome. Well did you study Legal in year 11? How did you find it if you did? If you didn't don't worry. My friend didn't do year 11 and she got 42 (higher than me!)
Continue to use this site for reference and I think you could definitely get a score that you would be pretty proud of =)
-
okay edit it please i'm now aiming for 37 haha
Done.
-
okay edit it please i'm now aiming for 37 haha

-

-
What chapters did you read or what have you learnt? What book are using. For a good introduction to the start of chapter one refer to this page

If you work, especially close to exam then easy to get a high mark. over 41ish you need not to make stupid mistakes and write fast.
-
I'm doing legal.
And I'm aiming for 45+
'Cause i dont put much pressure on myself... ::) haha
-
I'm doing legal this year. Not aiming for that much, already disappointed with my score from last year :(
Hoping for 35+, at the maximum, probably 40. :)
-
Welcome silentgoldeneyes and xox.happy1.xox!
I have no doubt you will both come to appreciate the subject for what it is. (A common sense analysis of how our legal system runs)
Just remember to use examples and be clear in your expression and your mark will do you proud.
-
LOVE LOVE LOVE LEGAL.
Put me down as 45+
:)
