How can I calculate the pH of this solution: dissolving 3G of HCl in water and making up the volume to 3L?
-
I'm assuming you mean 3 grams?
- find the amount of HCl in mols
- identify that HCl will dissociate into H+ + Cl-
- n(HCl) = n(H3O)
- n=cv (c=n/v)
- use the pH equation

Thank you so much! :)
