Title: Pay rate per hr for 16 year old
Post by: almostdonewithschooling on November 19, 2018, 11:53:14 am
Unrelatable to vce but, has anyone worked at woolies in Melbourne at the age of 16?? If so, how much do you earn per hour? does the pay get higher during the Christmas season?

I’m trying to get a job to earn some $$

Also, does anyone have any other job recommendations that’s +10$ per hour for 16 year old and that isn’t maccas, kfc...food related (being a waitress would be nice)

Hey there! You can find out the pay rate for a job by searching the award that that position is under. Pay rates are usually higher on a Saturday, Sunday and public holiday and don't change according to which season it is.

The minimum wage is above $10 so all jobs should be paying more than that. Have a read of the fair work website to get a better understanding :)

If you're looking for a job, seek and indeed are a great place to start your search. Just put in a description of the position you're looking for (eg: casual retail, wait staff, etc.) and the region/suburb where you're looking for the job and start browsing!
