I got a 39 in Informatics and im in year 11, does anyone know what it scales to?unfortunarely you won't know untill next year
I got 38 in biology, pretty disappointed :/Don't be dissapointed - its still a really good score and i'm sure you have learned so much about how to aproach doing a year 12 subject for next year!
50 for Biology, I'm actually in shock!Thats Amazing!
35 in bio, as a year 11 - anyone know what that scales to?
I GOT A 27 IN BIOLOGY SOMEONE HELP I WANTED TO GET INTO MEDICINE I HAVE NO CHANCE NOW
Ah......27 in Bio better then I expected but still abysmal but hey at least its got me motivated to start studying for next yearThank you for that J_Rho! I really needed that motivation and inspiration to keep me going for next year and not collapse into an ocean of tears!
Dude Nexica I got 50 in Further too, I'm stoked!Congrats!! ;D
Holy Christ I am so fking thrilled!! I did not expect this at all!!
English - 50 (‼️I am so shocked but also so confused how did I get this??)
Global Politics - 46 (unbelievable!)
Methods - 41 (again, how?? I’m not a maths person at all)
Chinese - 36
Russian - 35
Final ATAR was a 99.4 — I am in shock!! My prediction had been 96 lmaoooo.
Kind of disappointed with my LOTE scores though (also surprised I did better in Chinese than Russian). I was hoping high 30s to even low 40s in both.
Overall, very, very happy I got these scores not just for myself but for my school. Also another student got 40+ in English at my school — I’m really hoping our rannking shoots up this year.
Thank you so much! Hope you're happy with your results too! :) :)
THATS SOOOO GOOD!!!! I DONT KNOW WHY, but when I read this I felt really happy for you ((:::::::
Good news, I just got above 25 in my English Scaled Study Score (25.51)Given it's only 0.1 off, it's still very likely that you'll get an offer!
Bad news, I got a 69.90 ATAR score, 0.1 off the guaranteed entry of what I'm aiming at. At least I can flex my ATAR score in one way ifyouknowwhatImean.
2018:
Biology: 35
2019:
English: 35
Chemistry: 30
Further: 40
Enviro: 43
Methods: 31
ATAR: 89.65
I'm pretty surprised about English. Thought I did way better, but oh well. Still got above the ATAR I needed, so I'm happy!
Hey can I ask what you got for all your graded assessments?
It seems like I did well but my study score is kinda rough :[
Has anyone's study score ever been messed up by VCAA? I got a 41 in Further, but I only lost one mark on E1, and a MAXIMUM of five on E2, so I'm a tad confused. I was rank one and my SACs were all 95+, so I'm a tad confused. There have been cases where VCAA has messed up. You can get a statement of marks from VCAA and contest your result if you’re unsatisfied with the result.

50 for Biology, I'm actually in shock!Good job man i got the same. Do you know what % of the cohort we are?
Hi everyone! After several sleepless nights of anxiety over my ATAR, here are my results:
English - A+ A+ A 38 (36 Scaled)
History: Australian History - A A B+ 35 (33 Scaled)
History: Revolutions - A A B+ 34 (33 Scaled)
Japanese Second Language - A+ A+ A+ 40 (46 Scaled)
Maths: Further Mathematics - A+ A A+ 40 (38 Scaled)
ATAR: 90.65
Overall I am over the moon with my results as I as aiming for a 75 to get into Bachelor of Arts at Monash.
Hey I’m a year 11 student and I got a study score of 41 for Health and Human Development from VTAC. Is this my scaled score or raw score? And if so, what will it be scaled to??It's a raw score. It'll be scaled according to this year, but VTAC will only report the scaled mark to you next year. You can always ask someone who got a 41 in the Year 12 cohort what it scaled to, and yours will be the same. Also look at the 2019 Scaling Report to get an indication

I managed a 37 in Methods ;D
I'm actually genuinely happy considering its one of my weaker subjects! I'm only disppointed as I think my SAC marks went down a little lower than I was expecting.
Does anyone know what this will scale too?
2018 - Software Development [49], Further Maths [50]
2019 - English [32], Maths Methods [38], Specialist Maths [31], Physics [37]
ATAR: 97.35
Was slightly disappointed with my physics score, I thought I did better but apparently not.
I have several mixed emotions now, but mostly I’m pretty content with my overall result!
English: 43
Holy, I was SUPER happy with this!!! English gave me so much grief the entire year and I have never cried so much for a subject, so I’m thankful it paid off.
Methods: 24
To be honest, I kind of expected this but I’m annoyed that I was 1 mark off getting 25, so now Biomed’s not an option for me anymore :/
Chemistry: 33
I was really disappointed about this - I was so sure Chem was going to be my highest score, and I did relatively well all year round, except I bombed the exam in terms of timing. I just didn’t think I would bomb it this much :(
Psychology: 33
I’m still confused how I got the same score for Psych and Chem when I put so much work into Chem and did virtually nothing for Psych all year round, and studied for the exam 1 hour prior to the actual examination, but I guess I’m pretty content with this?
ATAR: 96.5
It was around what I expected, so I’m pretty happy with this! Thank god for Bio and my LOTE last year, it literally carried my ATAR (along with English). The only thing I need to sort are my preferences because of Biomed, but otherwise it seems I have quite a bit of flexibility in terms of courses!
I really hope everyone is proud of their hard work, regardless of scores!
What did your physics scale to? I’m in yr11 and got 37 tooMine scaled to 39.56.
I’m in year 11 and I got a 47 in Psychology, which I am very pleased about. That’s awesome! Congrats ;D
I got a 43 for Business Management, even though I wasn't expecting higher than a 38! Yay! ;D
Hope everyone did well - I for one, am quite surprised with my results!
Biology A+ A+ A+ 50
Chemistry A+ A+ A+ 41
English A+ A+ A+ 46
Languages: Latin A+ A+ A+ 45
Maths: Mathematical Methods A+ A+ A+ 48
Maths: Specialist Mathematics A+ A A+ 41
That’s super weird - there used to be a line to write in the number & cost of statements too (but then this was a couple of years ago). Is there no information anywhere else on the form or other papers you were given with it?
Does anyone know the cost of a Statement of Marks? I found some evidence pointing toward $10.50, but on the 2019 order form, it only refers to the fee associated with the purchase of an Inspection of Examination Materials ($24.95), and there's no option to purchase the statement (screenshot attached below because I'm terrible at explaining things - see step 5). Really quite confused, so if anyone can provide some clarification, that would be fab!!!!I’m also puzzled, the form was unambiguous last year and not at all clear this year.
Right?! I read on the resultsandatar site that there's a $10.50 fee for the statement, but that's nowhere to be seen on the order form!! Do you think that they're not charging anymore??I don’t know, it doesn’t seem very likely (although I don’t think they should be charging for any of it) but they also didn’t used to have the option of receiving it via email so clearly some things have changed. Do they have a number you can call to ask?

That's true - perhaps they've realised how ludicrous it is to charge students for such. I might call the PRAS number tomorrow. I'll post on here again when I get some clarification! :))Going from the fact that they only mention the cost for the Examination of Response Materials, and they are doing email now, it does seem more likely that they aren’t charging. https://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/Documents/vce/results/StatMarkInspReturnForm.pdf

It's actually free now! I ordered all my statements :)Damn I wish it’d been free for me.
Damn I wish it’d been free for me.
Does anyone know how to email the application to VCAA for a statement of marks? You can do that, but I’d recommend using a scanning app rather than a photo so it comes out clearer. Alternatively, you can use this link to fill out the application digitally: https://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/Documents/vce/results/StatMarkInspReturnForm.pdf
Do I fill out the application physically, take a photo then email this photo to VCAA?
How long does it usually take to receive the statements? If I remember correctly, last year it might’ve been 2-3 weeks by post. But this year they’re offering it via email so it might be significantly faster. (Assuming they don’t get inundated with requests as it’s now free :)
Would you suggest receiving both the Statement of marks and Study Score? It's free so why not :)
Wait what??
Okay just to confirm:
I can see the individual marks I received for each GA - so like what I got out of 40/80 for each exam?? (Methods)
And I can see the marking scheme for each question - i.e. so what I got for each individual question?
And its all free? So do I just scan the application and send it to them?
Thanks ;D
Sorry but where can I fill out this form...It should be in the package containing your results sent to your home. Alternatively, https://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/Documents/vce/results/StatMarkInspReturnForm.pdf
SO UM - I sent my application to receive my statement of Exam Marks and study score --> how long does it take to receive the following items?
ah ok thanks
So just confirming I don't need to fill out step 5 and 6 right?
It took one day for me
That is correct, unless you are applying for inspection.
I sent mine on Friday and haven’t received anything back yet.
Maybe they only send them out during business days.FYI: I requested all my statement of marks/study score on Tuesday afternoon, and received them late yesterday afternoon. :)
Does anyone know what an indicative ATAR is? I scored a 97.25 ATAR, Uni Melb have the indicative as 95.00.Not guaranteed. That’s what they think the atar requirement will be. Given you’re a fair bit above that you have a very good chance.
Would it mean guaranteed entry?
Thanks for your time
