A teaching method is what you want to teach, e.g. if you want to teach Maths, you would do a Maths teaching method - that's how you qualify to become a maths teacher.

A teaching method in a particular field of study often requires at least a minor in that field.

I'm looking at this course http://www.deakin.edu.au/future-students/courses/course.php?course=E377&stutype=international
So does that mean that in addition to health and p.e. you can teach chem or bio or maths etc?
