Hi!!!! Just wanted to ask something in regards to transferring to Dentistry after the first year of Health science. Is chem a necessary prereq? I did Chem in year 12 but did okay I got a 22. If I need chem, which chem subject would equate to year 12 chem?

Kindest regards
Malaika

Short answer: yes, if you're intending to transfer into dentistry.

This might help and yes, you'll need a 25 raw SS in Chem to get into Dentistry first try. Since you said you're intending to transfer from the Bachelor of Health Sciences, you'd have to take a chemistry elective to fulfil the requirements. As for which chemistry unit (what uni students call subjects), I guess you're supposed to check the La Trobe University Handbook for chemistry units that you can take and confirm with the uni. Preferably, you should be doing this once you have a course offer for the Bachelor of Health Sciences.
VCE: Psych | Eng Lang | LOTE | Methods | Further | Chem
Uni: Bachelor of Science (Hons) - genetics
Current: working (sporadically on AN)
