How to organise hw and when to study?

Whats up guys!
idk if im meant to put this here but...
So this year I will be doing English, Specialist, Methods, Physics and Psychology (yeah don't ask why psych ( they expect to much from me in chem)).
Now I have read (on ATARNotes and elevate) a lot about time management and when to study, how much work to do, so on so forth. But it doesn't sound right, I mean I take the advice and implement it to my study plan but when the day comes, when school starts its going to be different.
I'll give you an example,
So they say study (lets say) 2-3 hours a day right? and now this is the confusing part...what subject do you study that day? I mean Monday - Friday every day you will be getting hw from nearly all the subjects (because you finished content).
Now lets say you did one subject a day in that week...If you do that you miss 3-4 days because you didn't do that subject on the day you had the subject at school. You understand what I'm trying to say?
Then comes the SAC's for those subjects then what do you do? For us (in year 11) once we finished an AOS, we would have our SAC in one week, but that doesn't mean we stopped to study for that SAC, we were still continuing with the content. So then when do you study for your sac?
I just needed help with this, I mean being ahead can help to a certain extent but as the weeks pass, the class catches up with you.
So what do I do?
If you need more info let me know, Thanks.

Hey!
I totally get where you are coming from. I didn’t like the study x subject a day, and y subject the other day. To be honest, I don’t think you are going to be getting homework from each subject a day. At least from my school, homework would be given every few days and now thinking about it, it really wasn’t that much bc it was more so - ‘you should go home and finish these questions’ as studying.

So everyday, when I got back home, I would write a to-do list of what I had been assigned/ stuff I personally want to do. I like to write my list in order from highest priority to lowest priority. Then, I would complete my studies based off that list. If I didn’t get anything done, I would leave it to the next day and that would be the highest priority.

Having a planner was also extremely helpful! If I got my SAC date, I would get my planner and write ‘Prep for Sac’ one week before or however long I needed. I would write what I need to do to prep for the sac in the planner. When I would come home to do my to-do list, I’ll keep in mind of these.  I personally found it best when I spread out my studying over a few days for a sac (lol don’t last minute study pls save brain cell)

Also tip that some might disagree. I found that some subjects I did not have to study as much for because I got the content. There was no point for me to go over something that I clearly knew just for the sake of studying. This time could go towards other subjects that I wasn’t as great at. For example, Business Managament was my top score (48) but was the subject I probably spent the least amount of time studying for. Priotising and consistency is key for succeeding in VCE :)

Any questions, I’m happy to answer.
Graduated in 2018. Top 5%.
