I think it's better to analysis book instead of films but there isn't as many literary techniques in this book....

Haha I feel bad just constantly pushing this one since so many of the other texts are just as good if not better, and I didn't study the motorcycle diaries so i don't know how it relates. However, purely in regards to your concern on literary techniques, Perks actually has a bunch! And they all have a crucial impact on the way the stories is received. If you're interested in doing Perks, feel free to message me and we can discuss :)
For other suggestions definitely check out the link Jamon posted, also my friend who studied the motocycle diaries really liked the short film plurality (can be found http://www.shortoftheweek.com/2012/10/08/plurality/). Hope this helps!! Good luck :)
