Title: Memorising creative quickly
Post by: horse9996 on October 12, 2018, 09:58:23 am
Any tips on fast and effective memorisation? Gonna need to do this method because I'm not talented enough to come up with stuff on the spot in the exam

Hey, horse9996!

When I memorise anything for exams, I would summarise the creative/essay with only the first two or three words for each sentence. This way, I force myself to rote learn the sentence until I can recall it word for word, or very close to it. I would then move on to the next sentence and so forth until the end of that paragraph. After I have the paragraph's individual sentences memorised, I try to recall the whole paragraph using the prompt words and then I avoid using the summary altogether. I hope that makes sense  ;D
