hey everyone,
I was wondering if anyone had any ways of wording "The (common) human experience".
I feel like im repeating myself too much. Also this might help others who are working on essays ;D

When you say this, what specifically are you usually trying to describe?

umm I trying to talk about the common aspects of the human experience like the longing for belonging(just an example). I'm trying to find more words to say "the common human experience" it without repeating myself.
eg. commonality amongst humans, interrelated experiences.....
(sorry this is a very bad explanation)

Could you potentially use a more specific phrase and just say the common human experience at the start and then link everything after that back to it? So for example rather than saying 'the common human experience' again say something like 'humanity's innate need to belong' and then do something similar when talking about other aspects of human experience? So rather than calling them all the human experience, describe them more specifically? (don't know if this would work for what you're writing though)

this helps thank you!

common themes across all people, universal experiences, typical experiences etc
for seeking belonging you can use searching for connection, yearning for community etc.
Hope this helps :)

miniturtle and PhoenixxFire's have provided some awesome suggestions ;D You could also say "shared experiences that are integral to understanding how humanity is defined" or "universals that are widely applicable to the human condition. " :)
