1984 Related Texts????

Hi,
I need a related text for 1984 for the common module (Human experiences). Our school has advised us to look for a text that preferably isn't a dystopian. Any suggestions????

Jean-Paul Sartre's short story 'The Wall.' It isn't a dystopian – it is actually set during the Spanish Civil War. It deals with themes such as power, universality of death, existentialism, etc. Hope this helps. :)

Welcome to the forums Dezzel! You could go with something Shakespearian if you felt super confident - Julius Caesar, for example, or Othello?

Otherwise Human Experiences is super broad, you could probably make anything fit if you tried hard enough. What sort of books/films are you in to? :)
