Title: [HSC] Predict Your Subject Scores/ATAR, Compare on Results Day! 2021 Edition

It's ATAR Notes tradition! ;D

Now that the end of exams for 2021 is in sight for some students, you might start to reflect over the next little period. The next month or two can feel like a pretty long wait, so why not fill the time a little by predicting your results for each subject, and then for the ATAR overall? When the time comes in January, you can then compare your estimations to the real thing. :) Use this thread to come back and revise your predictions if they change over the next few weeks!

Pretty happy with my exams so far... so I'm guessing:

English Advanced: 92/100
Mathematics Advanced: 95/100
Legal Studies: 95/100
Economics: 96/100
Modern History: 92/100
History Ext (have not completed exam yet): 48/50

ATAR estimate: 99.3

Going out on a limb here and predicting 90...think I flopped English and maths but hopeful for my sciences

English Adv - 93

English Ext 1 - 44 

English Ext 2 - 45 (major work)

Math Adv - uhhhhh 55 if I am lucky

Society and Culture - 92 (inc major work)

Community and fam studies - 94

Modern History - 93

using matrix, predicted 97.05 but I feel like I have higher expectations of how I did in comparison to what I will probably get :-X

P.S these are for exams only, I haven't considered internals :)

Everything has been alright so far, but the scaling for maths better be good because the tests were uh

English advanced: 95
Economics: 93
Math advanced: 94
Math extension: 90 if I'm lucky
Visual Arts: 95

I'm hoping for 98+. 99 would be a miracle

Hmm. Accounting for moderation in these which I assume is about 50 + (raw mark)/2.
Math X2 - 93/100 (too many questions I couldn't get due to silly errors or fallibility in my own problem solving.)
 --> 96 (what?!)
Math X1 - 98 (already got this last year)
Physics - 93 (wasn't really happy with this exam that much at all. However I don't think I could have lost an enormity of marks)
 --> 96 (surprised)
Chemistry - 93 (did better with this exam relatively, but it was objectively much harder)
 --> 92 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯“
English - 85 if I'm lucky. It was so long ago so I don't remember, Paper 1 good but Paper 2 doubleplusungood.
 --> 89?!?!
I'd be surprised if any of these are higher than predicted haha

Results were released 30 mins early!!

Just to preface, scaling impacted me heaps for modern hist, eng adv and community because all their internal marks were 93-96 but on the email, they're scaled down to 89!

My final marks are...

English Adv - 89 (disappointed)
English Ext 1 - 46 (in shock)
English Ext 2 - 45 (in shock)
Math Adv - 78 (actually proud of it)
Society and Culture - 94 (inc major work)
Community and fam studies - 88 (disappointed)
Modern History - 89 (so close)

so so close to being an all rounder!!

The ATAR is officially 93.95 which I'm actually pretty happy with :)
