Title: Narrowing the Answer
Post by: kenhung123 on September 04, 2010, 09:06:53 am: For question d, I got 2 answers for a, that is $a= 2000-1000\sqrt{2}$ and $a= 2000+1000\sqrt{2}$ . The answers only mentioned the later answer. Is there any particular reason they did so? I cannot seem to find a away to eliminate the former.
