Title: Will we be asked about the industrial chemicals?
Post by: LittleSpazz on November 08, 2015, 02:02:06 pm
Does anyone know if we will be asked about one of the four chemicals (sulfuric acid/ammonia/ethene/nitric acid) we did in the year?
Going through past exam papers I see them in almost all of them, but sites like Edrolo have said that they won't be asked.  ??? :o :( I'm a little bit confused. Thanks!

The study design changed in 2013, which omitted the industrial chemicals from the exam. This is also the year VCAA ditched the two exam format - if you check the years that have only one exam, you should notice that none of them have the industrial chemicals.

I can't remember, but I think last year I was asked similar questions about industrial chemicals in an exam. But fortunately, I studied sds sheets so that I could better understand how to work with chemicals and do it safely and efficiently.
