Do two 3/4's if you can before year 12. That is my main regret.

I know there's quite a few schools who don't advocate/allow for their students to take 2 1/2 studies in Year 10. But I would push for it. I seriously regret not taking 2 3/4s in year 11. Like I was happy with my SS for Food Tech, but only having to focus on 4 would make this year a lot less full on. My advice is to keep pestering your school so they eventually allow you to. If you have good enough marks, there is no reason as to why you should not be allowed

Haha my school doesn't offer specialist maths or physics to year 10. :( So jelly that so many of you guys are doing physics next year! HAHA I'm doing Biology and Chinese 2nd Language. :D
My Chinese isn't good enough to take it early. I'm not even sure if it will even be good enough by VCE  :-[

aw.. man i'm sort of in the same boat as you tbh. I'm not really good with my Chinese either. Like I can talk and read very fluently, but I absolutely suck with my writing skills. LOL too much characters to remember. Haha my parents advised me to give it a try and see how well i progress. Because if I don't do Chinese, I'll do specialist maths instead.
My advice is to just give it a try :) Haha because you're probably in pre-vce class yea?- A friend of mine who is in VCE Chinese Unit 1 and 2 this year mentioned that pre-vce is nothing like VCE. The purpose of having a pre-vce class is sort of like a 'revision year' ;)
2016: Biology | Chinese Second Language
2017: English | Mathematical Methods CAS | Specialist Mathematics | Chemistry
Feel free to PM me :D

I'm sure both of your Chinese are good enough to take VCE! Just give it a go and try! You never know! Besides, it's not that hard compare to pre-VCE according to a friend ( I can't comment on how hard is it because I've never done pre-VCE ) but yeah you'll start to know people who are really good without even putting any effort in but don't be too upset! And yes, the workload and teachers in my experience will be quite different from year 9! Just keep going and you'll be fine! If you need more help, feel free to PM me too although I'm not that great but I will try my best to help!

Woah, really?! I don't think many schools do spesh in year 10 though. What subjects are you allowed to do in year 10?
