I was just wondering what textbook is best for physics,
at school we use Nelson and I think it is the most confusing and pointless book ever.
I understand that people have different adaptation of different textbooks, but I just want to know what the general consensus is.

I found that Nelson was the best - my teacher highly recommended it, so we all grabbed it to read over before SACs.
The textbook doesn't matter so much if you understand the concepts. If you're struggling with those, it might be wise to post a few questions (or points to clarify) up here or purchase something like A+ notes, which is a nice little summary of the content.

all textbooks cover the same topics, unlike subjects like english, there is only 1 correct way in physics. the theory is explained in much similar fashion so it shouldnt really matter.

i found that nelson did not explain concepts thoroughly, so I used the heinemann one

Yeah, I find explanations in Nelson very confusing.

I had a look at the Nelson, doesn't seem too bad, imo quite understandable

Heinemann has mistakes with formulae, so be careful.

purchase something like A+ notes, which is a nice little summary of the content.
i find these along with the NEAP notes really helpful, not only ins physics but all subjects

Yes it did, however i shud warn u that heinemann tends to go a little overboard with some things, for that, I STRONGLY recommend A+ notes, A+notes sticks to the study design

Yeah, friend was saying that you don't even need some of the stuff in the textbooks.
You're all right, A+ notes are really good, got a copy of them today.
