Title: VCE 2017 Examination Timetable Released
Post by: Joseph41 on May 24, 2017, 02:51:51 pm
The exam timetable has just been released. You can find the full timetable here (the image below does not include all subjects - sorry!).

How's your timetable looking? Generous? Brutal?

I'm guessing that I'm a lucky one with the timetable allocation? Each of my subjects have their own week. I suppose it's good in some ways, but on the other hand, exams may drag on for a while!

I have a weekend between maths exams, and over a week before my chemistry exam.

Happy happy happy

Despite having 7 exams, thankfully none are on the same day and spesh is broken up by a weekend :)

Although Latin is really late :(

At least I'll get the last laugh over my friends doing French ;)

I'm happy that I have no exams on the same day, but my methods, specialist, chemistry and physics exams are all packed together, which isn't so great.

Ah yes, I remember French last year. The only thing that made it ok was that the Jap kids had their exam the next day, so we at least had someone to laugh at

so i was expecting the mother of all awful exam timetables because my subjects are all humanties and my teachers said they'd probably be clustered together, but this is actually not that bad? i get about a day's break between each one so it could've been a lot worse! and there's a week between english and revs, thank god. i see extreme cramming in my future. one of my friends is literally finishing 4/5ths of her subjects in the first three days, so it could definitely have been worse omg.

How sad is it that i'll be spending my 18th stuck in a stuffy room doing my french exam  :'(
On a positive note however, i can have total freedom after i'm done because i end up finishing high school on my birthday  ;D

aww, this is pretty crap ): is it at least your last one? my eighteenth is like a week before english and i thought THAT was bad, but ...

Well too sad I'm the Jap kids and I'm on the last day ...I was supposed to be on holiday that day because I thought "We'll never be on the last day" but sigh I guess I'm delaying my holidays now :/

Mine is alright since I don't have 2 on 1 day and they're 1 day each one after another (which I like because gives you enough time to cram but not enough time to panic) but the 9 day break before Jap isn't looking too good ...

Ahahah this is the story of my life! Bonus is you can go out and party afterwards ;) can recommend
I thought that French was the best exam to end on as well! A bit more chill than the other ones (depending on what subjects you're doing though I guess), or at least you have more creative licence :P

I had a week between Chem and French last year, I think I only studied for one day and did barely anything :P I binge watched the Crown on Netflix instead. 10/10 would recommend and would do again ;)

Looks like my exam is period is between 6-14 (btw Algorithmics is missing from the graphic, should be on the 6th :P ). I'm fairly happy with my timetable, only thing I could complain about is Specialist and Literature being on the same day, but that doesn't worry me too much.

Welcome to ATAR Notes, Mojo Z. ;D

VisCom and Legal is a hectic combination (I didn't do Legal but I've heard it's super content-heavy?). How are you feeling for VCD? :)

Ah, I don't know about my timetable but it's not soooo bad, I have two days and then a weeks break, and repeat :)

English - 1st Nov
Psychology - 2nd Nov
Mathematics - Mathematical Methods (CAS): 8th and 9th of Nov
Chemistry - 14th Nov

Defs better than having two exams on one day! (Cough Biology and Further Mathematics, still a bit #salty and triggered over last year :P)

Well Music Performance prac plus my two Korean exams are done all in October :D

Then the rest of my maths, english and music allow me to revise efficiently as well as rest up well for the next big hit!

Mostly glad that I do not have any back to back exams!

Ahh right on! Do you think it's a good thing or a bad thing to have Music Performance and Korean early (comparatively)? :)

And yeah, avoiding the back-to-back exams is grouse. ;D Like, multiple exams on the same day isn't the worst thing in the world, but IMO definitely preferable not to have haha.

Oh absolutely! The practical components to each of the subjects require a serious amount of study and preparation so to have that out of the way early means I can prioritize that first and then not stress about it for ever! And doing what I feel shall be my highest scoring subject's written exam first means I can have a fairly clear mind about it :D

VCAA doesn't hate me afterall :D

Hey, no kidding! I'd imagine Korean and Music Performance are pretty dissimilar, but would involve a similar amount of preparation! Which one are you more confident for at the moment? :)

And hahahaha - turns out VCAA isn't so bad after all. ;)

Hectic! I guess on the plus side, you get most of your exams over and done with pretty quickly. :) What exam do you have on the 16th? At least you have heaps of time to prepare for that one! ;D

Definitely music right now,  have learnt my entire program now, Oral preps slowly getting there but the detailed study unit has not begun yet so theres half of the oral missing.

VCAA might not be the sinister overlord of VCE after all

Yeah I guess that's one way to look at it if you're trying to be optimistic. BTW on the 16th I've got my last exam, which is Texts and Traditions

Yessss that's awesome! ;D What subjects are you doing? :)
The  Subjects  I  am  doing  are  the following:- English  ,  Economics ,Further  Maths,  Business Management   and Health  and Human Development.
My  exam  timetable  is  as  follows:-
Wednesday  the  1st   November  English
Thursday  the  2nd  November  Economics
Friday  the  3rd  November  Further  Maths  Exam 1.
Monday  the  6th  November  Further Maths Exam  2  and  Business Management.
That is  the only  day  I  have  two  exams    scheduled at least  for  Further  I  do  not  have  to  memorise  any  formulas  , I    am  allowed  to  take  in  a  bound reference   ,it  is  open  book .
Then  I  have  four  days  in  between  to  prepare  for my final  exam  Health  and  Human Development  which is  on  the  10th  ,  which  gives  me  a  few  days  to    freshen up  for  Health  after   4 days  of  full on  sitting  for  exams.  I  over all  happy  with  my  timetable  apart  from  the  fact  that  majority  of  my exams   are cramped up  together .

Bio - 3rd
Spesh 1 - 10th
Spesh 2 - 13th
Chem - 14th (straight after spesh though :'()
Eng Lang - 16th

Have a whole week after bio to revise for my other three subjects. Then I have the weekend between exam 1 and 2 for spesh. And then the hectic week with Spesh 2, Chem and Eng Lang...........
But on the bright side, they're all on different days! ;D
