We had our end of year minute of silence during assembly...however a kid playing the trumpet kept stuffing up and yelled "forget my notes, sorry, let me start again" halfway inbetween, making most people chuckle.

At work (as in, Woolworths job) we stop trading and everyone stands for a minute's silence.

I only remembered because people started talking about poppies. Five minutes later I remembered the symbolism/relevance of poppies.
