Going for Australia but i think Spain will walk away with the trophy
-
agree. Spain are just too good, so much so that one of the best players (Fabregas) in the world starts on the bench. Going for North Korea!!!
-
Netherlands
as for us, i think the Socceroos unfortunately will be going home in the first round. Germany, Serbia and Ghana will run riot over us
-
so u dont think Australia will win one match? one is enough for group stage (2006) :D lets hope we win one (yn)

haha id like to hope we win, but the gerries we slaughter us in the opening game, maybe against ghana and serbia we can snatch a few points, though serbia were awesome in qualifying topping their group and beating france

Speaking of North Korea, i read an interesting article that kim jong il banned all coverage of the WC in the DPRK, only games that North Korea win will be broadcast and edited to make the team look better lol

it's quite likely. Oh and when/if they win one game i bet everyone in DPRK will be forced to watch it. BUt then again it may just be western propaganda to make the Nrth Koreans look bad.

Germany
-
Spain, team full of guns such as Xavi, Puyol, Casillas, Iniesta, Fabregas, Sergio Ramos, Villa and Torres.
-
Spain to win.
Argentina to be the fail story of the world cup.
Socceroos to finish bottom of the group on 1 point.
Ivory Coast will be the bolter.
-
spain will choke as per usual

IMO Australia isn't as good as they were '06. Everyone's old (kewell, Grella, Schwarzer, Cahill), and the rest aren't playing week in week out at club level. Our strikers are bad Scott Mcdonald can't score (despite the fact that he is one of Australia's most prolific club level scorer). Josh Kennedy doesn't know how to use his feet (he scores only headers). Spain looks likely, and i think (but I hope i'm wrong) the Socceroos won't get out of this group
-
ioaus09:
dont u think cahill is better now, then he was in '06???
-
He is, but this could be his last wc, he is 30 you know. if he was 21, i wouldn't be worried about the future of the socceroos. Overall, the best players for australia are 30+, and from the younger people, none have impressed me, and none are in the starting line up of their team. But i do hope they get better spiranovic, vidosic, Djite etc.
-
Got my money on spain

Bresciano isn't too bad though so we're getting there.
