Title: The game

A TED talk about a possible new 'game layer' above the currently existing 'social layer' we have.

What do people think of the idea? I think the application to education should be investigated much further.

Clicked on this topic just to announce my loss of said game

But yeah, the stuff is pretty interesting, got me hooked on all those mmo's in my younger years but those mentioned are all the obvious elements, I wonder what else they have

It's 2010. Not 2005.

The game became unfunny back then.

Holy shit, this thread contains the highest degree of internet fuckwittery.

It is quite interesting as I've never sat down to think about how easily mankind is willingly manipulated by such marketing schemes. Priebatsch shouldn't be endorsing this idea. Rather, he, as well as everyone else, should be trying to reject this system. At the same time, it's quite fucking depressing seeing how inane and stupid people are to be motivated by such simple reward systems. Brb going back to study for high results

Anyway, thanks. It was pretty insightful
