LOL...why not start a poll?!

A few of the teachers at my school have written VCE textbooks
-
One of my old history teachers wrote history textbooks - Richard Malone, he's apparently well known (??)
I also have uni lecturers who wrote uni textbooks ... does that count? :P
-
yeah 2 physics teacher at my school wrote a few VCE books.
-
Yeah I think I know a few yeah...
-
do you guys think having a teacher that writes vce textbook is a major benefit? does that mean the teacher really knows there stuff
-
lol one of the books that was written had mistakes in the answers everywhere... pretty bad actually, but the other one was really really good, the answers even had explanations of how do to the questions. Best of all, if you don't get something just go find them and ask them yourself XD
-
Well theoretically all teachers should have the same knowledge if they've been teaching the subject for long enough. As long as your teacher goes to like VCAA meetings and things like that to get the most information they can, then I think you'd be right, whether they wrote a textbook or not lol.

yeah 2 physics teacher at my school wrote a few VCE books.
I think there are 3... I heard Braidwood also wrote a book :P

Well it depends on how you look at it. I have asked a few teachers on their opinion about this and some of them say that they are very knowledgeable people but in the their opinion, they can't really convey the information to students.
Of course, what is posted above is just the opinions of a small group of teachers.
-
Yeah, a psychology teacher at my school contributed to Nelson Psychology.
swt as bru.

The person that wrote the Religion and Society Exam, and apparently helped write other R.E text books is a teacher in my school. I don't have her for any classes, but last year before the R.E exam she came and gave us a few pointers, etc.

David and Geoff Phillips were teachers at my school. They helped to write the maths quest series and i think some science books?
Thing is i had David for maths and never did anything in my class:P

21st Century Mythology - Thor the god of mathematics xD
