[The taxi driver gets out of the car, kicks the Mercedes doors, opens them, slaps the guy inside. Gets back to his taxi, takes off. The Mercedes guy runs out, opens his trunk, grabs a sword, runs to the taxi and strikes a blow to the roof. The taxi stops, taxi driver gets out again and this is where the video begins.]

why does he open the mercedes door and slap the guy?

Was thinking the same thing. There's not enough info to judge who was to blame.
