My friend does reviews for loads of phone companies etc.
Tbh, when I used it it felt slow and sluggish.. not to mention its gay design.
NOT A FAN FT ):

My two brothers have it (I'm an iPhone guy ).
To be honest, I think it's awesome, definitely has really good display, video quality is amazing, and the ability to customize the desktop (add widgets; clocks, weather, currency, whatever) is really cool.
I'm getting my iPhone 4 soon, but if I'm able to, I want to switch to the samsung...the iPhone is boring now...everyone has it!

Games on the galaxy is sweet! esp NFS :P

It's a great alternative to the common iPhone4. Recently updated with Android 2.2 Froyo (speech-to-text for SMS? OH EM GEE!), it's a beast of a phone.
However, I recommend you wait for the new HTC phones coming out Q1 2011, if you're planning on investing in a phone :P

also Samsung has flash, whereas apple will never chuck it in.

Ah indeed! Security issues apparently..
Perhaps they were scared of being attacked by a blak hitman? >=o

Pro:
- after lag fix (don't think it's official), pwns pretty much every phone out now.
- the best screen available for any phones out now (better than iPhone 4)
- the best processor (Hummingbird > Snapdragon > shitty iPhone underclocked processors)
- decent RAM + graphics (not sure what they are, but they're top of the line)
Con:
- the GPS is a bit ehh, don't expect good turn-by-turn nagivation or fast and accurate positioning. More like 'stay in the same spot for 15 mins and we'll zone in on your position' or 'keep moving and we'll locate you to your nearest suburb'.
- The screen is shit in the sun compared to the X10 (which has the best screen for outdoor usage)
- If you want it to work properly, need to do lag fix, which require some level of computer literacy
- Android isn't as user-friendly as the iOS, but it's definitely more dev friendly.

I have it. It's a pretty good phone. Does have some issues which Mao mentioned above.
My sister also has this phone. The main issue she has with it is all her messages aren't getting through. Sometimes when she moves her sim card onto a different phone she'll get all the messages at once. However that just might be a sim card issue, but one of my friend's friend's has the same problem. I so far haven't experienced that.
Otherwise it's pretty awesome. The battery life is of a typical smartphone. If you play games on your phone, which is what everyone does, then the battery can get drained in less than a day. Thankfully I got myself a car charger so I can basically charge it everyday to and from uni

I have one myself, decent phone. Good camera, video quality, display is awesome, and very responsive. Downside is that call quality isn't great sometimes people can't hear what I'm saying. Otherwise good phone, and yes the Vlingo app is awesome, I don't use it when it comes to the public cause people looked at me funny the first time. Them --> ( :idiot2:) Me --> :-\
