Title: Running an .exe file on Mac?
Post by: werdna on December 01, 2010, 04:39:58 pm
I need to open an .exe file on the Mac but it doesn't work... just comes up with a notepad kind of document with random writing.

What free program could I use? Emphasis on the free.  ;)

I'm not sure, but I would put emphasis on 'freely obtainable' haha.  Freeware is usually sub-par at best, although there occasionally are some exceptions.

PM me for a good download site if you want.

A program called CrossOver.

I'm not sure if it's free or not.

Tried bootcamp yet? [Basically, install windows on top of OSX, then run your .exe in windows on your Mac because you rebel like that]

If everything was written in Java we wouldn't have this problem... but the world would be much much uglier.
