My school's median stayed the same as last year (27, lol), but the number of scores over 40 rose slightly (from 3% to 4%) and the pass rate dropped a little (from 100% to 96%).

Hmmm....

My school's median is 36......
Are all the previously mentioned dux scores (that are below 60) coming from new schools? Is that why it takes a while for students to do well (80+)? Or is it usually the location of the school that determines how well its students do?

No, half our school went to Northcote High - also crap place.

I think Thornbury Darebin has the reputation of having many druggies go there... or maybe that was just rumor. Dunno.

Year 12s were awesome this year :D
Too many really smart kids though :P

Yeah, that's definitely the reputation there.
My parents are divorced, and my mum's house is relatively close to that school (I'm in Rossmoyne Street).
