Hello,
I'm wondering if it's recommended or not, to get a part-time job during VCE (generally 10 hours a week).
Or is it better to just focus all the time/energy into school work?
Thanks.

During year 11, ~10 hours would be fine. In year 12 I'd cut it down to maybe one or two shifts a week. I only work once a week so it doesn't cut into homework time but it does ensure that I'm not completely poor during the year. :)

It may get a bit overwhelming when your work coincides with when you need to put some extra work into school.

It really does come down to what your workload is like though. If you're aiming high then you most likely won't have the time.
I'm assuming you're not in year 12 (if you are then just wait a little longer :) ) so i would recommend that you should wait until you start and decide then. If you're not too stressed out and have the time then nothing's holding you back :)

It can definately be done. I worked ~16hours/week throughout year 12 however I took 2 weeks off before mid-years and 1 month off prior to end of years. It is only a matter of time management, a complex idea that most year 12 students struggle with but eventually master...

I think it depends on whether you are in year 12 or not. If you're in year 12, personally would have given up work or left it to the holidays and just focus on your work.
