I've chosen to do my creative response on Emma, but I'm having a bit of trouble.
I decided that I wanted to work with the character of Mr. Woodhouse, because he's distinct and prominent, but not a major character like Emma or Mr. Knightley, so I don't think we've reached his full depths yet. I guess my problem comes when I'm trying to decide which scene to do - in those scenes in which he features you usually get a good idea of what he's thinking, and so I'm not convinced there's any scene I can explore from his point of view without repeating too much. Which leaves me with the much more creative, and scary, option of creating a new scene to examine from his point of view. Some of my ideas were:
- The coach ride after the dinner party at the Weston's.
- In Mr. Knightley's sitting room whilst the others are out picking strawberries.
- His private reaction to Emma's engagement - when she leaves the room or something (not as keen on this).
So I guess I'm just wondering if people have any suggestions for how I can go about this without having to actually create too much, whilst still extending on the book. Thanks guys :)
