What are the possible scenarios or things that we would have to draw on the exam? is there a set list?
i.e normalisation

Going by trial exams, I've seen a draw a relationship diagram question as well. I don't think there would be a set list, it'd probably just be all the design tools (or perhaps pick the relevant design tool, I saw one like that). Layout diagram is probably the most common one you see though.

Layout diagram, Entity relationship diagram, IPO chart, etc. I'd know them all inside out just to be safe. Even if we're not required to draw one, there might be a MC question asking for a specific characteristic.

flow charts?

flow charts?
Yes, pretty much every possible design tool that is listed in the textbook.
We might not have to draw them, VCAA isn't going to be sitting there with a list of stuff that they've pre-decided will be of this type question etc. but more than likely that stuff will crop up on the exam somehow.
I looked at the design tools list in the study design (and on VCEIT.com), the textbook is better because the study design mixes in the design tools for software development.

flow charts?
As far as I can remember flow charts are not as "big" as they were in the old course (along with Gantt Charts). Flow charts are really simple though. Just have an understanding of what each symbol means.
