Title: Countdown Timer in the exam
Post by: Christiano on November 03, 2011, 05:28:43 pm
I have a countdown timer (not a stopwatch) on my digital watch, is it allowed to be used in the exam? Because I have been setting it at 1 hour and 40 minutes instead of 45 so I can finish on time.

It might be a bit risky. Remember, the supervisors are generally technically incompetent (sorry for the generalisation) and they may view it as "illegal" (the VCE equivalent).

I used to use a marker and make notches on my watch so I'd know when I have to finish a particular section. Less risky, but you need an old-fashioned analog watch.
