What do you guys (and girls) reckon??
-
Probably similar to last year, so 36-37?
-
I want to vote lower than 35-34 but there's no option :(
-
Yeah I reckon it could be an all time low, somewhere in between 33-35. That was freaking rigged. Reminds me of the 2009 chemistry exam 1, just an absolute shocker of an exam.
-
Pretty low (maybe 32/33) MHS had this ridiculously smart kid (50 bio last year, Chem prize this year, pretty much guaranteed 99.95) say it "was the hardest methods exam I've ever done".

What? I mean it was harder than ususal but not that hard? Wait does this mean that exam 2 should be easy or hard now?

Mate, it was very difficult- harder than kilbaha and harder than 2006-2010 papers. Perhaps you are a genius :). I think (exam 2 should be similar to past years, it's calc anyway).

It was pretty hard. Everyone found it hard, even the kids that finished it. Based on the past years, the trend is that a hard exam 1 means a hard exam 2.
Which is a good thing because it is a better distinguisher of skill.
-
if i was to get around a 20-25 where would that place???.....

Which is a good thing because it is a better extinguisher of skill.

Haha i think you mean distinguish....they're gonna separate those who are good not put them out lol

WHAT EXTINGUISH?

truthfully hoping the cut off is 35 or 34...made so many small mistakes...
-
It was way harder, I finished suprisingly, but fucking fuck, words cannot explain my anger

I feel the same way, annoyed at myself, VCAA and the world... can't even concentrate on preparing myself for exam 2 right now ):
-
what would A+ sacs, 35/40 exam 1 and 75/80 exam 2 get you?

I'm exactly the same, so drained from the frustration today
I don't think I'll be studying much before tomorrow
