So much stuff on Harwood that I felt the need to start a topic about the other texts :P
So, what are you guys writing on? What would you LOVE to be on the exam tomorrow and what would be your nightmare passages? And why?
All the best guys! :)

I would love there to be "Describe in two words what Hamlet was dressed in in Act I Scene II" but I'm not counting on it.
Hamlet and Harwood!

Writing on Hardwood and Hamlet. Would love to see Estuary and The Violets... Maybe even Iris? And I'll be shattered if I have to write on Prize Giving ugh. I just really struggle to make valid arguments for that poem. For Hamlet, any scene with Ophelia is great. I dream of analysing "to be or not be" but I doubt that'd make it onto the exam. You?

For poetry, I'm writing on Wolf Notes. I'm praying that the poems I get are The Lake, Dawn and Path :)
Fyi ataraxia, I love the name! I always try and tell people to enter a state of 'ataraxia' when they're stressed just to confuse the hell out of them :P

Jarryd; Ohh thank you. I'm just thrilled to not have someone ask me to explain what it means haha. Kudos to you!

Hahaha thanks! :)
I found the word in the dictionary once by accident, and the word just stood out. Never forgot what it meant!

I'm writing on Keats and Hamlet. :)
For Keats, pretty much anything that hasn't been on should be alright, as I've prepared for them. I'd love "If by Dull Rhymes", "Ode on Melancholy", "On the Sea", or "Ode to Psyche".
For Hamlet, court dialogue, any soliloquy, or any scene with Polonius would be perfect. I'd be pretty trumped by a Fortinbras scene, and I'd be annoyed if we get a "filler scene" (like Horatio and Marcellus telling Hamlet about the ghost). But I wouldn't mind other minor scenes like Cornelius and Voltemand, or Rosencrantz and Guildenstern.
I don't know. I'll just have to see how I feel doing reading time! *partly nervous, partly excited to get this over with*

^ Nice
I'm doing Mansfield and Blake myself. I think I'm alright for all of the short stories and poetry, but if I get 'Auguries of Innocence' I might die a little (hate it hate it hate it).
-
Ah! Can't wait for it to be over! I just have no idea what to feel about any of the passages, just hoping there will be something to talk about.

Saame
I keep swinging between "don't worry, you'll pwn this" and "oh crap I can't write gud!". :S

^ Yep.
I don't know whether my lack of nerves is a sign of confidence or just misguided arrogance...eek.

Hamlet predictions:
P1 - Act 1 Scenes 5 - something to do with the ghost and metaphysics
P2 - Act 3 Scene 3 or Act 4 Scene 3 - either Claudius praying+Hamlet's dilemma about killing him, or Claudius sending Hamlet away (and Hamlet possibly talking about Polonius)
P3 - Act 5 Scene 2 - either "Let be" or "The rest is silence"
Emma predictions:
P1 - Mr. Elton proposing to Emma
P2 - Miss Bates doing...something
P3 - Emma being depressed+pathetic fallacy of RAINNN (Hemingway?)
You heard it here first.

Yeah I think you might be right EZ! Thats what I would predict - and I'd be happy with that. I bought your CE notes by the way, they've been invaluable, thank you very much!
