My life cycle is pretty efffed ... I'm only sleeping 2,3 hours a night ...

Same boat, even though I know its important to maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Really the amount of sleep is different for everyone but if your a teenager 8~9 is usually the way to go.
If you feel tired or fatigued there may be a reason why such as:
>Eating or drinking before bed.
>Lifestyle concerns.
>Stress.
>Medical problems.
Try to start a sleep diary if its really that bad to.
Now if your reading this, this should help.

No matter what time i go to bed i still have trouble sleeping.i just then lie there listening to my ipod until like 8am when i eventually fall asleep. I then sleep in all day 'til like 2-3pm haha. So im just perpetuating the cycle.
If you've only been sleeping 2-3 hours in total for an extended time you should probably look into why you're not sleeping eg uncomfortable pillow haha

These days I sleep at 1am and wake up at 11am :)
VCE -> sleep at 11pm, wake up at 6am

During VCE < 3. Now, about 10-11 unless I have work/other commitments.

During school usually 11PM-6AM, but at the moment about 1AM-10AM.

currently very very messed up. My problem is I'm often most tired from 5:30pm to 8:00pm or so but often that is too early to go to bed. Once 9:30 rolls around though I'm suddenly wide awake and can easily pull an all nighter if I want...

From 10 pm to 7 - 8 am, pretty good. I'd presume most people get less sleep through studying too much? Or procrastinating at computer stalking AN members / shopping for clothes online / play games.

yeah... my sleeping pattern is fucked up lol i sleep from 9-10am till 6-7pm, normally 10-11 hours of sleep per day

yeh study through the night, sleep through the day, works well for the brain - just not so well on the body ;)

I generally sleep about 2-3 hours- do you feel tired when you wake up though?
Lately I've been sleeping weirdly- double allnighters, and then 5hours sleep. :S

TSFX stuffed me up, I had a good thing going on. Now i have to get up at 7am.
On school days, 12am-6am, On holidays anywhere between 1am-11am hehe:)

I have an app like this, you lay it down next to you and it feels the movement of your body througout the night. Based on how much movement it detects, it works out what cycle of sleep your in, and wakes you up at the right time. Can`t say I noticed a huge difference though..

My sleeping patterns depend on what is happening on the interwebz... Last night I got to sleep around 5:30 or something ridiculous like that. My work also goes super late, like close at 3:30. FBF accurately describes my lifestyle nowadays.

Was it just me, or did some people get no sleep before an exam due to fear of not being able to fall asleep which ironically makes them not sleep? Before the English exam I was running on 2 black coffees and 0 hours of sleep

Holidays: 10-12 hrs :) School days: 5-6hrs :(

I had to sell a book today, and i woke up at 1pm from the guy's text telling me he was at the rendezvous
usually go to bed at 4am, screw around on my iphone till 5-6~ then wake up at 11 - 1pm. sometimes i see the sun rise, it is beautiful
towards exam period, school days were go to bed at 2, wake up at 8

By trying to cover at least half of the year 12 course instead of enjoying my holidays. I get less sleep then i did when i went to school. When i try to sleep my body wont let me. Screw you delayed sleep phase disorder

LOL I've been trying the sleepyti.me website for about a week now, and I swear it works ! maybe it's just a mental thing, but I'm always waking up refreshed and ready to go.

It depends on the day.. lately I haven't been sleeping very well.. like 5-6 am (not because I'm up all night.. I just can't sleep).. I wake up honestly feeling like absolute shit, I can barely get out of bed..
I don't know how I'm going to manage waking up at 8:30 for school.. I'll probably sleep in class for the first weeks..

I thought mine was bad but you beat me (well most of the time..)
That 8 hours idea is something someone just made up. Theres not a lot of research behind it. Surprisingly though, i find 8 hours is a pretty effective amount.
