It depends on who you are and what your aims and capabilities are.

But I can definitely say that yr12 is a lot more fun that yr11s think :D

What kind of answer are you exepcting with this?

If you treat it like your life depends on getting 99.95, very hard.

Personally I underestimated the difficulty of it... think I got a bit overconfident from my year 11 result.

So that is a really subjective question, but for me I found year 12 harder than I initially thought...

Overrated if you're either hardworking, or generally smart, or both.
Definitely hard if you think you can just slack off, unless one is a genius,
or at least really good already at a subject.

But in all seriousness, the difficulty does depend on what ATAR you want.

Well the thing is you go through the year thinking it's the hardest thing ever, and at the end you will think, hey it wasn't actually that bad. It's all about being ORGANISED, that is having a gameplan throughout the year, e.g. exam timetables, using your diaries, free periods etc. Don't get distracted in your free periods either. Have a goal- e.g. atar. From personal experience, year 12 wasn't fun for me, that's what let me down in some ways, I mean be involved in things like sports, it helps you get your priorities down better than those who don't take part in alternative activities other than studying, however musicals are hard to tackle because they require a load of time.

To be honest, I did about 2 hours a night of homework in year 12 with NO homework year 7-10 and 2 hours a night of homework in year 11 under my belt at a poor school and got 98.25.

Take these words of advice and you'll be fine :
- Going to tutoring does not account for studying. Eg: Just because you go to Dr. He doesn't mean you get automatically 45+ in maths and 99+ atar.
- If you go to a bad school, ensure you're rank 1 for SACs or it'll bite you in the arse
- Study consistently, and never get complacent. Eg: Don't finish the accounting course over the holidays then not touch it for two months and forget 90% of it, but then study in another burst and A+ midyears and think yo can do the same thing for end of years but you cant and you only get an A but someone you knew got the same mid year mark as you and got a 50 cause they were consistent. Lol
- Never over-estimate your abilities (ties in with getting complacent)

In all honesty, it shouldn't be hard, if you are consistent.
Also, getting in to the habit of studying should be done ASAP. It's like working out - the first few days is the hardest, but afterwards its just a habit. And this goes for being lazy too. Not studying until exam time = major case of alopecia, see: Hair annoying and also gives you bad study habits!

Good luck!

ALSO!
If you don't do well for mid years, trust me, you can make up for it by just doing your best for SACs and end of years, you'll really surprise yourself. Never go "oh crap i got a B+ in midyears, ill just study for my other subs and chem will be my bottom 2" sometimes things won't work out your way.

These were all of my fatal flaws (:
Avoid them and 99+ it bwahaha

how long is a piece of rope? That's a colloquialism meaning that there isn't one answer, if you think about it there can be many different lengths of rope (short, long, medium etc etc.) So in relation to your question, I mean that there is no one answer (look at how many different answers you already have! Some say hard, some say easy, every answer is different!)

So; no one really knows how long a piece of rope is, and no one really knows how hard VCE is!

Another one to add to nacho's great list:
- Never give up on a subject! Even getting/winging a 20-30 in a subject can really help you ATAR :D

Not to mention satisfy a potential prerequisite.

You cant really think of VCE as a difficulty more as a competition where people will go to extreme lengths to get a higher score than you.
