Title: Biomedicine and KLD

I recently completed VCE and scored 96.9. I was part of the Kwong Lee Dow programme in 2011 and am for an under-represented school.

My 1st preference is Biomedicine at Melbourne Uni and the minimum ATAR is 90 (if part of KLD and from an under-represented school) so I will get in right?

January 16th can not come fast enough  :(

Did you apply for access Melbourne ? If so, you should have got an email when your ATAR came out saying that you have a guaranteed spot in biomed......u should be fine mate :)

Yes I applied for access but did not receive an email. That could be as I changed my preferences to Melbourne from Monash after the ATARs were released. I hope so.

You should contact the uni and make sure that you'll get an offer, we handled a couple of people with non-standard circumstances who hadn't received their guaranteed offer email.

Have not called yet, do you think they will just answer this question over the phone? What is the question by the way, something like "can you confirm if I have a guaranteed place?"

As a KLD recipient, you can guarantee your place at UoM with an ATAR of 95. If Biomedicine is your only preference there, I assume that would mean you get in (but I'm not sure).

They did for me......don't see why not.

Yeah just tell them your score/kLD/rural staus and that you have met the preqs and if that gaurantees you a spot. Also ask if your SEAS has been accepted :)

I got an atar of 91.35 and go an underrepresented school I am an access applicant. What are my chances of getting in Biomed my first pref at uni melb.

Believe it was a 92 for a guaranteed spot. So, you might in second round.
