sooo who s going to do Arabic this year???
MEEEEEEEH !!!
-
I never thought of doing arabic because I totally suck at the slang itself. I would have gotten a study score of 2 if I took this subject.
-
Never did this subject because it's difficult even if you've lived overseas for years (Lebanon) and the scaling sucks, unlike hebrew which scales massively, corruption I tell you! But it is the best language to learn nonetheless, goodluck :)
-
Did 1+2 last year... Problem is I write and speak in Egyptian dialect.. Never could get my head around Standard Arabic... but yeah good luck to those who are doing it, it's a beautiful language despite the scaling...that just sucks.. arabic is wayyy harder than french and many of those subjects that scale through the roof... I say that having done both languages - french being completely new to me while i have been speaking arabic since i was born
-
@mariamm: I find that Egyptian arabic is really hard to read, especially since there is no ummm you know..those lines on the words that indicate how it sounds..
standard Arabic is just so hard to understand.

Lol... 'those lines on the words'... I guess we can reach this conclusion; ARABIC IS DAMN HARD period

Yeah ... They use Arabic in schools there apparently... But then again they have 38 languages in Bangladesh ... Good on you for knowing at least one :)

I had my first class on Saturday (VSL) lol there was only 3 students including me.
-
IM DOING IT ;D 8) ;D
-
Arabics good guys.
As long as you put effort in it, you'll do fine.
I did it last year and I hardly did anything until 2 weeks before my exam and I managed an okay score.
So if you try you'll get high.

I am currently doing 1+2... not doing 3+4 because I am not even slightly convinced I will achieve a study score 40+ if I do it. It's a great language, but one I do not plan on using to shape my future.
