Dp we actually have to enrol on this day? (like bring in documents and stuff) or is it just an "academic advice day" like it says on UniMelb's website?? :-/
-
I'm pretty sure it's an academic advice day.....you do the enrollment online after receiving your enrollment package :)
-
This is from - http://cms.unimelb.edu.au/studentservices/transition/orient
Dates for your diary:
Academic Advice Day: Monday 23rd January (undergraduate students only).
Academic Advice Day 2: Thursday 16 February (undergraduate students only).
Orientation: Tuesday 21 to Friday 24 February
As far as enrolling, all that's done online (as far as I know).
I've heard the Academic Advice Day is 'compulsory'. I'll most likely be attending either way.

Don't go. It is an enormous waste of time...
To anyone in biomed, I also recommend that you do not attend your stats lectures.
But do go to O-week! It is a lot of fun. :)

I've been told that my academic advice day is on the 16th of February. When I contacted the school they said I shouldn't enroll into my classes until after my academic advice day session.
How is this fair for international students if we're enrolling for classes like a couple weeks after you guys?!?!
-
If you're talking timetable wise, I know last year for my subjects they staggered the release of places in the different time slots, as to allow those enrolling later to still have a shot at getting a good timetable.

It's a generic thing so they can do your classes with you and make you aware of your options and whatnot. If you want to enrol prior to that, there's nothing actually stopping you.
