Title: Monash Uni MBBS LB double?
Post by: ECheong on January 16, 2012, 11:31:16 pm
Anyone currently doing the Medicine Law double degree at monash? What's it like? Is the workload crazy? Experiences?

I'm considering it as an option, however, medicine and law are two huge areas and it does seem quite daunting.

Not aware of any regulars on this forum doing this, but I've got a few friends. Workload seems very crazy and in my year level, of the 4 who I think are doing this, one's pulled out. Seems very stressful and it's a nightmare juggling the exams between the two from what I've seen. You end up with very extended and stressful exam periods. I think you really have to think about why you want to do it. Med's alone is pretty hellish enough as is, and to add law to it...I guess you really want to be doing it for the right reasons or you won't maintain your motivation through it.
