I strongly recommend you do research yourself.. check out website's like CNET, TechCrunch, PCWorld, etc. Compare the specs, compare the prices, and then choose what's best for you, why would you go to normal everyday AN Users when you go get the opinion of Tech experts :)?

Marketing and Aesthetics, the two things that get people in our generation.

Battery life is great as well. If I had a lot of disposable cash, I would get myself a mac.

A single question mark would be sufficient. I've only tried the iPad and the Galaxy and I found the ipad to have a wider app store and contained way more features. The Galaxy just looked barren and boring.

^That's what I thought as well!

Android > iOS
Google > Apple

If you want simplicity, get an iPad. If you want flexibility, get a Galaxy. It'd probably depend on your needs for a tablet, but I'd personally go for the Galaxy.
-
In what way is the Galaxy more flexible when in my experience, they both work in exactly the same way?

Honestly: this. In the end it all comes down to your personal preference. However, you're able to do more with an android OS than an iOS and the galaxy tab has a better camera (I'm looking at the galaxy tab 10.1 specs).
I know a camera isn't a make or break thing :P

It's more flexible in terms of the OS; Android is more of an open system. I find that iOS is a pain in the ass when it comes to things like transferring files. I'd say the iPad is best for entertainment, while the Galaxy is better for productivity. But then again, if it was about productivity it'd be smarter just to get a laptop.

IMO, Not the Ipad, being the clumsy person that I am, I would probably drop it when I step on the train. And I hate cases. Makes it look like those people that live in igloos. Dont ask.

Fair point. I wish it had a drag and drop thing implemented into it. Going onto itunes is such a bother
