OK so I was wearing my contact lens today and I rubbed my eye too much so the lens have gone missing... they're definitely in the eye somewhere, I just don't know where cause I can't see where it is... I've been using eye drops and I've done pretty much whatever I can think of to try and find the damn thing, I don't even know if it's still in there or if it may have fallen out etc.
Btw it's natural colour so it makes it harder to find, if I was wearing the colour ones today it'd be a lot easier. I can't exactly see clearly without the lens so I've got no hope in finding it LOL. Going to go see the optom tomorrow but just wanna know if anyone has any tips on how to find the lens?
Thanks! :P

Don't think its still on your eye. My optom said that if the lens gets in a weird position then when you blink, it'll just reposition itself over the covered part of the eye (dunno what it's called lol) so I think it's fallen out.
Plus if it was still on your eye you would be able to feel it there if its in a weird spot
EDIT: I can be wrong though, because I've only been using them for less than a week :P
-
you can get someone else to try to look for it?

Alright, thanks for your help! :) I tried blinking and looking down etc in case it might be under the eyelids, but that's been no help...
You're probably right that it's not in there anymore haha.

Haha yeah I tried that, brother couldn't see anything in there either..
-
You baby, I'll get it out for you.

Who are you?

YOU LOVE ME.
Just keep blinking hopefully, it might pop out at some stage. Does it feel weird?

Probably fell out.
I'm saying that because the only place it could've gone is behind your eye, which I am very certain you'd be able to feel. You must've rubbed it, it fell out and you didn't notice.
How long you been on contacts for?

Oh alright. I've only got slight irritations in the eye now, but then again that's probably because I've been touching it and everything haha. Been on them for 3 weeks now.
-
If you didn't see it coming out it's possible it might still be in there. It happened to me once, I thought it fell out but instead I found it in my eye the next morning when I woke up, wrinkled and covered in eyeball juice. It's quite gross but I couldn't feel anything unusual at the time. Anyway, the same probably happened to you so wait it out!

You should go see your optometrist...
-
I'm afraid, if it is indeed behind your eye, you're going to have to get your eyeball removed and replaced with a glass one.
Did I not tell you this would happen?
-
ask your doctor??
-
My friend did the same thing and it did go to the back of his eye. All I'll say is, you'll know when the lens is out of place. :P
-
Oh and please update on what happens. This kind of stuff is amusing to me.

You troll. :P
And yep I'll keep you all posted, heading to the optom now. :)

heading to the optom now. :)
Okay guys, before she comes back let's make a bet (shuddup I'm fucking bored kay?). I'm saying it's still in her eyeball.

I bet that when she gets back, she's going to keep insisting that she isn't a she.

Urge to kill is rising ANI. Hahahaha

Got the all clear from the optom, he said it would've fallen out since he can't see any lens or fragments. :P
-
IT'S HAPPENED AGAIN! I went to get the contact out of my left eye and couldn't see it there... I'm guessing it's fallen out but if it fell out somewhere I think I would've noticed that I was half blind in an eye LOL
-
Just go back to wearing glasses you idiot.
-
Check underneath your eyelid to see if it's stuck there. It's physically impossible for the lens to actually dislodge itself into the back of your eyeball so it's either fallen out or slipped underneath your upper eyelid. :P
-
Contact lenses don't just fall out haha.
I think you would realise if the contact lens wasn't in your eye. If I didn't have a contact in my eye I would realise immediately lol.
When you put your contacts in are you putting them in correctly?
-
If your contacts are just falling out, maybe your eyes are too dry?
-
Yep it definitely fell out, I found it on the floor LOL. How do I make my eyes less dry (if they are dry)? And yeah I'm pretty sure I'm putting them in right. :P

Use artificial tear drops such as Systane.....however consult your opto prior to using them :)
-
Are you using a hard/dry contact lens? I might be using a different type to you, that's why mine never fall out maybe..
-
Not sure what type of lens they are, but they're the fortnightly ones I leave in the solution. It probably fell out because I wore them for a bit too long yesterday and it was hot weather too. Thanks for the help!
-
If they're fortnightly then they should be soft lenses. They should stop falling out if you keep your eyes moist :)
-
It just takes time to get used to wearing contacts. Maybe don't wear it as often as you'd like to yet, and alternate between that and glasses.
If I ever run into a guy at Melbourne Uni who blinks profusely I know it's you.
