Title: question about transferring to a different course within Monash
Post by: gemgem49 on March 19, 2012, 07:22:53 pm
If you transfer from one course to another WITHIN Monash will your marks that you achieved for the units count towards your GPA?

I.e. I transferred from Arts Global to Straight Arts and now it looks like I just get exempt for all those subjects and I lose my high GPA. Wtf, honestly. I don't understand. They are the exact same course at the same university, with the same major. Only difference is I don't do the two core units that were part of Arts Global. All the subjects I get credit for are relevant to my new course of Arts.

WHY WOULD MY GPA/WAM NOT COUNT?  SO stupid.

Hmm i thought WAM still takes into account all subjects/units you did.

Not too sure about GPA though.

WAM/GPA..... whichever. Both. When I go to my unofficial results it says my WAM for Arts (Global) but my WAM/GPA for Arts is N/A

Hmm i talked to my sister when she transferred and i think her WAM/GPA included all subjects she took?

Pretty confusing LOL

It includes all the subjects you take within a particular year, as far as i know.

If in doubt talk to the faculty.
