I'm interested in eng/biomed at UoM too...
Well, its not too late for you to start now,but it won't be too early for you to catch up now.
What do u wanna hear....?? U can get motivation anywhere!!! Go 1ne, you can do it!!! Nothing can stop u right now...

Of course you can. You might have already been advised about this but since your disadvantaged, SEAS would compensate for that (hopefully).

Om nom nom SEAS. I think this last year brought science at UoM to like, 78? (correct me if i'm wrong). It should also be around 78 - 80 this year as well if u did get sick this year. But in all seriousness, if you work hard enough, you'd be able to get science at UoM. Good luck man.
